"Together, we achieve."

School Council

Welcome to the School Council webpage.

Article 12

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states that children have the right to participate in decision-making processes that may be relevant in their lives and to influence decisions taken in their regard—within the family, the school or the community.

I would like to say a great big THANK You to last years School Councillors, for all the hard work that they did, especially by raising the profile of the School Council.

Elections were carried out in the second week of term, where the children were nominated or nomintated themselves and made speeches to their classes. The voting process with voting slips and ballot boxes found Beckford with a new set of School Councillors.

I woud like to welcome this years School Councillors and look forward to working with them for another exciting school year of Pupil Voice.

Hilary Barnett ( Learning Mentor & School Council Lead)
